ABOUT OUR BEAD SHOP: Itty Bitty Bead Shop started in late 2006 as literally a 4x8 section of wall in our gift shop at Waterstreet Mall. Then it grew to a 1/4 room, then to a full room. In our new storefront, beads occupy most of the wall space.

 

Itty Bitty Bead Shop offers a wide variety of beads and findings. We have semi-precious gemstone beads from Agate to Zebra Jasper, as well as a small selection of Emerald, Ruby, Tourmaline, Apatite and Spinel beads.

 
Our glass bead selection includes regular and AB finishes in rounds, bicones, cubes and other shapes. Varieties of glass include Chinese crystal, crackle glass, lampwork beggar beads and glass chips.


A beach resort area like Rockport wouldn't be complete without shell beads! We have a good selection of shaped shell beads, shell heishi beads, shell chip beads, mother-of-pearl beads and chips, pearl strands, coral, bone and more.


Our findings include regular silver and gold plated items, as well as silver and gold plated over copper and plain copper materials. You'll find a good selection of sterling and bali silver findings and spacers at the service desk. We also carry a small selection of Acculon beading wire, economy tigertail and PowerCord.


If you need some inspiration to start your next beaded masterpiece, browse our selection of focal beads. We have Murano foil glass pendants from the basic scoop pendant to dolphins, alligators, seahorses, starfish and more. Our stone focals come in a variety of shapes and sizes and stones as common as chalk turquoise to the more unusual and earthy Kambaba and Oolitic jaspers. For the discriminating designer, we have some very nice handmade lampwork bead sets as well.


Our most recent addition is our wire and wire wrap tools. Sterling silver, copper and brass wire is available at the service desk. Craft wire is in the wire working section. Tools include various pliers, cutters, mandrels, finger/ring gauges, rawhide and chasing hammers. Undrilled agate slabs, top/side drilled focal and nugget beads and a selection of cabochons are available as well.

We may not have dozens of every item but we try to stock a little something for everyone. If you don't see what you're looking for, please don't hesitate to ask. Cathy may have a particular item in her personal stash to help with an emergency! If not, we'll gladly try to find it for you.
